Yoglabs- Control- Part 5

Lewis searched through the rumble of the lab, desperate to find the generator casing. He had to know whether it was where he dreaded it was not.
The power that generator was able to provide could have powered a stasis chamber for centuries. And it seemed that was exactly what it had been doing.
Lewis sped out of the lab and headed back to the modern area of Yoglabs, rushing to the engineering sector. Only to be met with an energy wave that knocked him out cold, as he sped round a corner.

Simon stared at his old friend, fear evident in his face.
'Duncan, tell me what happened.' Simon said as calmly as he could.
'What happened? What. Happened?! You were there!' Duncan yelled, the lights in the room flickering as is mirroring his emotions.
'Lewis is the one to blame! Always trying to improve this place, never caring for the cost! He left me in that lab to die!' Duncan was trembling with rage. ''It's too late' You remember him saying that? Holding you back as I burned! You were always a good friend Simon...'
Duncan looked away, as if fighting an internal battle within himself.
'If not for that stasis chamber, I would have died.' His eyes flashed, fresh anger within him boiling over. His voice boomed through the room.
'But. Here. I. Am!' Duncan's arms were outstretched. His eyes, no longer human, swirling purple. The wires in his arms twisting, angry and hungry for power.
Simon stared in horror, his hand gripping his battle axe tighter. Duncan was laughing now, the laugh of a man gone crazy.
Seeing his chance, Simon swung his axe above his head, he let if fly, and it hit Duncan side on, knocking the maniac to the ground.
'I'm sorry Duncan.' he breathed as he forced the solid iron door open and ran through it. Leaving the maniac screaming curses behind him.
